Family Crest Rings for American Families
American families carry some of the world's deepest heraldic roots - Irish, German, Italian, Scottish, English - names that crossed an ocean and kept going. A family crest signet ring puts that history back on the hand.
Cavetta is an Australian goldsmith. We make solid gold crest rings, cast to order on the Gold Coast, and American families have been finding us in growing numbers. Distance turns out not to matter much: crest research happens over email, the design arrives as a 3D CAD render you approve before anything is cast, and our customers two suburbs away go through exactly the same process you would.
Start with whatever you have. A photograph of a grandfather's ring, a bookplate, a rough sketch - or just your surname, and we'll help you research whether your family carries documented arms. Plenty don't, and design a crest from scratch instead: a symbol their family starts with, rather than one it inherited.
The crest can be laser engraved into the face, or built into the CAD and cast directly into the ring - raised in the gold, so it can never wear off.
Every ring is solid gold - 9ct, 14ct or 18ct in yellow, white or rose, with platinum and silver available. No plating, no hollow backs. Face sizes run from 15mm x 12mm up to 20mm x 16mm for larger crests. Tell us your US ring size - we work in both.
Prices are in Australian dollars, which at recent exchange rates means the number in US dollars is roughly two-thirds of what's on the sticker. Finished rings ship to the United States by DHL Express, fully tracked.
If your family's story includes military service - and many American families' do - our military & service rings page shows how service numbers, dates, mottos and personal emblems are built into a crest ring.
The best way to judge us is the work: read the stories behind our crest rings, including a crest designed from scratch and worn as a wedding ring. Then book a call with our founder - we schedule around US time zones - or see how a crest commission works.
