About the Lapis Lazuli 'No. 22' Limited

The Lapis Lazuli 'No. 22' Limited is a solid gold signet ring set with a natural lapis lazuli cabochon — one of five made. Cast from solid Australian gold on the Gold Coast. 12mm wide face, 15mm tall — full-sized signet proportions. 1.8mm shank, 3mm face thickness. Each stone is individually hand cut and bezel set into the gold.

Lapis lazuli is a deep blue metamorphic rock flecked with gold-coloured pyrite. The blue is dense and saturated — not translucent, not reflective, just solid colour. Pyrite inclusions catch light against the matte blue surface. No two stones carry the same pattern. Set against gold, the pairing is immediate — deep blue and warm metal, a combination that's been used for thousands of years. The signet shape is oval, traditional in proportion, with a flat face and tapered shoulders that narrow into the shank.

Limited to five pieces. Each ring is numbered. Once they're gone, this stone won't be repeated in the 'No. 22' frame.

The gold is solid all the way through — no plated surface, no hollow core, no base metal underneath. Five years from now, ten years from now, it's the same ring. That's what solid gold means.
